X-Ray Screener.
Monday to Friday, 2pm to 11pm with 30 min unpaid break (42.5 hr working week).
The Role:
The X-Ray Screener will be responsible for using an x-ray machine to conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· X-Ray screening parcels ready for export.
· Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations.
· Recording and escalating any issues or concerns.
· Pallet screening.
· Maintain focus and awareness within a busy environment.
· Tolerate moderate to loud level of noise in work environment.
· Utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations.
· Follow instructions from supervisor or lead screener.
· Assisting in general warehouse duties.

Skills, Competencies & Attributes:
· Ability to multi-task and prioritise and a proactive approach.
· Must be physically fit due to Manual Handling.
· Excellent visual observation and identification ability.
· Interpersonal skills - Must be able to communicate efficiently.
· Previous experience in a time-sensitive environment is desirable.
· Competent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
· Flexible attitude to working hours, work activities.
· Good communication skills, as you'll be liaising with a variety of people, clarity in communication, as problems could arise through inaccuracies.
· Organisational and planning skills.
· Teamwork, tact and good interpersonal skills.
· Sound industry knowledge.
· Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
· Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
· Accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Requirements:
· 5-year employment history in the UK - must be verifiable.
· Clear Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS Check).
· NXCT.
· Cargo Operative Screening - COS.
· FLT licence.
· Right to live and work in the UK.

Additional Requirements:
· In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the postholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Company from time to time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
· To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme.
· To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
