Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor - Cold Chain is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, specifically focusing on the storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive products. The role involves ensuring compliance with all cold chain regulations, managing a team of warehouse workers, and maintaining the integrity of products throughout the supply chain. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that all warehouse activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Oversight:
o Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping temperature-sensitive products.
o Ensure that all cold chain protocols are strictly followed, including temperature monitoring and documentation.
o Coordinate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock levels and avoid product spoilage.
· Team Management:
o Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse workers, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and accurately.
o Schedule shifts and allocate tasks based on workload and operational needs.
o Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance-related issues.
· Cold Chain Compliance:
o Monitor and maintain the required temperature levels within the warehouse and during transit.
o Ensure all equipment, such as refrigeration units and temperature monitoring devices, are functioning correctly and are regularly serviced.
o Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling temperature-sensitive products.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards,

· Inventory and Quality Control:
o Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and quality of stock.
o Monitor product expiration dates and manage stock rotation to prevent losses.
o Handle any issues related to product quality or temperature deviations and implement corrective actions.

· Safety and Maintenance:
o Ensure the warehouse environment adheres to all safety regulations, particularly those related to cold storage.
o Train staff on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures.
o Identify potential safety hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

· Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, staff productivity, and compliance with cold chain protocols.
o Maintain accurate records of all temperature readings, inspections, and maintenance activities.
o Report any incidents, such as equipment failures or temperature breaches, to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Experience in cold chain logistics is highly preferred.
· Clean driving licence
· Strong knowledge of cold chain requirements, including temperature control and regulatory compliance.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
· Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
