Warehouse Operative
About the role: The role of a Warehouse operative involves working within a secure Warehouse facility to ensure the safe storage and handling of valuable assets.
Key Responsibilities
Security and Access Control: Warehouse operatives are responsible for maintaining the security of the Warehouse facility. This includes monitoring access points, verifying credentials of individuals entering the warehouse and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Asset Handling: Warehouse operatives handle and transport valuable assets within the Warehouse facility. This may involve unpacking and packing items, organizing assets, and moving them to and from secure storage areas.
Inventory Management: Warehouse operatives are involved in the management of inventory within the vault. They may conduct regular inventory checks, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of asset movements and storage locations.
Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed records is crucial in a Warehouse environment. Warehouse operatives may be responsible for documenting asset transfers, updating inventory systems, and generating reports as required.
Compliance and Procedures: Warehouse operatives must adhere to strict operational procedures and security guidelines to ensure the safety and integrity of the stored assets. They may assist in implementing and maintaining compliance measures and participate in regular audits.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Warehouse operatives may be responsible for the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of Warehouse equipment and security systems. This may include surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access controls, and environmental monitoring systems.
Team Collaboration: Warehouse operatives often work as part of a team and may collaborate with colleagues to accomplish tasks efficiently and maintain a secure environment. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in this role.
Key Skills
Previous experience in security, logistics, or a related field can be beneficial. Experience in asset management, inventory control, or working in a secure environment is often valued.
Warehouse operatives must possess a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate asset handling, inventory management, and recordkeeping. The ability to spot discrepancies and maintain accurate records is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the assets stored in the vault.
Proficient in using standard office productivity software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or equivalent. Comfortable using email and other forms of electronic communication effectively.

This role requires references to be provided for the last 5 years as well as a successful DBS check
Hours: 45 Hour week with a 1-hour lunch (unpaid) break included. OT will be expected from time to time.

1 week earlies (06.00 - 15.00)
1 week lates (10.30 - 19.30)
