Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their expanding team.
Monday - Friday 5am to 2pm
1-hour unpaid lunch paid on 40-hour week
Main duties and responsibilities
Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisor
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
To receive and process stock items to the agreed quality standard
Picking and packing of stock
Ensure the warehouse and premises are kept clean and safe at all times
Report any issues of concern which may affect the smooth running of the warehouse.
Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety
Maintain highest security standards in the warehouse at all times.
Effective use of equipment in the Warehouse in accordance with relevant competencies
Person specification
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)
A good level of numeracy
An understanding of current health and safety regulations
FLT Licence Holder
ETSF experience
Ability to perform under pressure
A flexible approach to work and the ability to work with changing demands (including shift patterns)
Physical strength, fitness and dexterity, as may often have to lift heavy packages.
Excellent team-working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of a warehouse team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Computer literacy, including knowing how to use scanners and relevant software.
Programs, such as warehouse management systems
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills to coordinate large volumes of goods.
Honesty and trustworthiness
The ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
