We are working with a Freight Forwarding & Shipping organisation based in South Birmingham (B98) who are recruiting for a new member of staff to join their busy international logistics operations team.
The role of Trainee Freight Forwarder will offer a full, comprehensive, on the job training scheme. This is an exciting opening for a candidate with a keen interest in Freight and Logistics to join an organisation offering the opportunity to commence a career with a Global Freight Forwarder.
You will be trained in the following areas:
- All aspects of Seafreight, Airfreight and Roadfreight.
- Operations for imports, exports and cross-trade shipments.
- Administration.
- Interaction with customers, overseas offices and agents, airline and carriers to ensure the safe transport of freight.
The successful candidate will show a strong desire to learn, strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and carriers.
Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the office, the ideal candidate will either drive with access to their own vehicle or be local to South Birmingham (B98).
