We are recruiting for a Trainee Cargo Accounting Officer to join this leading Heathrow agent
The trainee Cargo Accounting Officer is responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely processing of cargo - related financial transactions. This includes monitoring invoices, verifying records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stake holders to support efficient financial operations in the cargo department.
Role Involves:
· Process and verify cargo-related invoices, payment requests and credits.
· Ensure accurate revenue recognition for cargo services in compliance with accounting principles.
· Reconcile discrepancies in financial transactions related to cargo shipments.
· Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth transaction processes.
· Communicate with vendors, clients and cargo agents to resolve billing and payment issues.
· Provide support in monitoring and optimising processes to enhance efficiency.
· Use accounting software and cargo management systems to record and manage transactions.
· Assist in testing and implementing system upgrades or new tools related to cargo accounting.
Experience needed.
· Trainee level any prior experience in accounting, logistics or cargo management advantage.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Familiarity with IATA Cargo standards is an advantage.

Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Salary depends on experience.
