Our client a major Freight Forwarder close to Heathrow Airport are looking for a Temporary Finance Analyst for a minimum of 2 months
Key Responsibilities
· Subject matter expert in intercompany processes
· Monitor and analyse intercompany balances and transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or reconciling differences.
· Review intercompany open items and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline intercompany processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Maintain open lines of communication with other company partners, GSC and Operations.
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Intercompany
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Duty processes.
Main Tasks
· Manage and resolve disputes, addressing escalations from the GSC, operations and Intercompany partners.
· Review, follow up and resolve issues in account reconciliations and Intercompany (IC) reporting, including balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliation.
· Monitor and manage open items within the Intercompany AP ledger and ICT queue to ensure agreed cycles are maintained by the GSC and operations.
· Schedule regular progress calls and meetings with the GSC team and operations.
· Drive accurate and timely billing of Intercompany receivables.
· Reduce overall Intercompany monthly provisions to achieve set targets.
· Review monthly reconciliation for Intercompany entities outside clearing, including both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables and follow up with partners to ensure outstanding items are paid within agreed timeframe.
· Other Ad-hoc duties as needed within the finance team as a whole
· Responsible for ensuring duty deferment statements are booked accurately and in a timely manner.
· Working closely with CDZ team to ensure Brexit related HMRC costs are resolved within agreed time frame.
· Ensure all refunds from HMRC are correctly allocated to clear open items.
· Drive accurate and timely billing of duty receivables.
hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday in the office
Salary GBP17 per hour
