Paying £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Monday to Friday, based in Birmingham.

Freight Forwarding experience required. 

We are seeking an Ocean Export Operator to join our client’s busy, expanding Ocean Export division. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join one of the largest privately-owned Freight Forwarders, who offer ongoing training and career progression. 

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in Ocean Export operations, handling International Export Shipments for both FCL and LCL shipments. 

Duties will include:

• Ensuring the safe journey of freight and the on-time, efficient arrival to its destination. 
• Making Ocean Freight bookings with shipping lines and hauliers. 
• Raising export documentation, including Bills of Lading and the completion of Export Customs Entries.
• Ensuring pre-alert documentation is accessible when required.
• Opening files and ensuring up-to-date information is recorded. 
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers, keeping them updated with the status of their freight. 
• Working on the start-to-finish freight process, from taking enquiries and opening files, to billing out and passing over to accounts for invoicing.

The successful candidate will have notable experience in Ocean Export Operations, who possesses strong communication and customer service skills, with a hard-working, dedicated mindset.
