Job Title: Night Airfreight Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Southall
Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager
Shift: 4on 4off 6pm - 6am

Job Summary:
The Night Airfreight Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the overnight operations within the airfreight warehouse. This includes managing warehouse staff, ensuring timely processing and handling of incoming and outgoing freight, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The role demands strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficiency and accuracy under time constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
· Team Supervision and Leadership:
o Supervise, coach, and manage warehouse staff, including loaders, forklift operators, and material handlers during night shifts.
o Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational objectives, safety reminders, and any specific instructions for the shift.
o Monitor performance and productivity, provide feedback, and conduct training to ensure staff meet operational standards.
· Operational Management:
o Oversee the inbound and outbound freight handling, ensuring shipments are accurately loaded/unloaded, sorted, and dispatched on time.
o Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee the tracking of all shipments to ensure proper documentation and accountability.
o Coordinate with the day shift team for smooth transition of duties, addressing any outstanding tasks from previous shifts.
· Safety and Compliance:
o Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
o Ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
o Conduct routine safety inspections and audits, reporting any hazards or incidents and taking corrective action as necessary.
· Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
o Ensure all equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is in good working condition, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
o Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to facilitate efficient and safe operations.
· Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
o Resolve issues such as freight discrepancies, damaged goods, or schedule delays in a timely and effective manner.
o Communicate with airline and logistics partners to resolve any immediate issues affecting freight operations.
o Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and minimize errors.
· Documentation and Reporting:
o Complete shift reports detailing productivity, issues encountered, and any other relevant information.
o Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training, and any disciplinary actions taken.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Experience:
o Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in airfreight or logistics.
o At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
· Skills and Abilities:
o Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to motivate and guide a diverse team.
o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a fast-paced, time-sensitive warehouse environment where strict adherence to safety protocols and deadlines is essential. The supervisor will work primarily on the warehouse floor, interacting with team members and monitoring operations to ensure smooth processing of airfreight.
