Paying £28,000 - £34,000 per year, depending on experience. 

Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm.

Hybrid working pattern, based in Central Birmingham.

We are working with a leading Global Freight and Logistics organisation, who are seeking an Intermodal Specialist to join their Ocean Freight department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all delivery notifications, specifically failed or late notifications and aiming for recovery and resolution by liaising with customers, suppliers and hauliers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring all notifications, this may include failed deliveries, late deliveries or rescheduled deliveries.
• Updating customers and the system with any changes.
• Ensuring every delivery has an updated and actual time and date of delivery, chasing suppliers and hauliers to ensure this is adhered to and correct.
• Ensuring timely collection of containers using internal systems and websites.
• Updating system with the status of freight.
• Reporting repeat offending suppliers to management to ensure customer satisfaction and reduce the number of late and failed deliveries.

Candidates will have experience in dealing with hauliers and suppliers, along with a knowledge of freight operations. This role requires a candidate who is confident dealing with high pressure scenarios and speaking to suppliers over the phone, who also possesses strong problem-solving skills.
