Great opportunity for an Express Logistics Van Driver to join a well-stablished and successful organization in Leeds LS9. Set the wheels in motion and join a team that is responsible for delivering world-class service!Timetable Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 6:00pm with 1 hour break. TTP contract.Location-Leeds LS9.
Hourly Rates:
GBP13.42 Per hour for hours worked between 08.00am - 19.00pm
GBP16.07 Per hour for hours worked between 19.00pm - 08.00am
Per hour OT rate after 45 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Representing their our Client's brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and be a courteous driver.
Responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers.
Safe loading and unloading of shipments.
Sort and prioritise workload (including multiple route sort) to ensure time commitments are met. Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.
Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver up to an allocated and realistic number of shipments per day.
Complete daily safety checks, safe loading, securing load of vehicle, maintenance, legislative regulations and adherence to company driving standards (including tachograph vehicles).
About you:
Full UK Driving Licence, with no more than 6 points and have not been disqualified in the last five years.
An enthusiasm and passion to deliver the best service at all times
Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Experience in a multi drop courier role and good geographical knowledge would be advantageous however this is not essential as all training and equipment will be provided.
