Job purpose
Our client based at Heathrow is looking for full-time dedicated and enthusiastic driver to join their team.
Collecting and delivering packages in southern England and one day a week in London. This job involves working quickly and efficiently whilst using your initiative.
You will be provided with a uniform and after a satisfactory work period you will be allowed to take the company van home.
Working hours
Full time permanent role (Monday to Friday) which includes 1 day a week driving in London.
A rota of 1 Saturday in 6 work which is classed as overtime.
Overtime opportunities are available.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Maintaining the vehicle; safe & clean and report any issues
Load and unloading of your van ensuring all packages are secure.
Planning and using navigation apps to determine best routes based on road and traffic conditions.
Maintaining regular contact with transport manager.
Obtaining delivery confirmation from customers.
Daily maintenance reporting into the RHA vehicle system.
Assisting warehouse where required.
Good customer service skills.
Requirements
A valid drivers license and a preferably a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
Van driver knowledge of London and Southern England.
A polite and professional disposition at all times.
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Knowledge of airport work is an advantage.
