SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Pricing Agent optimizes pricing strategies to enhance profitability and competitive positioning, conducting market analysis, developing pricing models, and implementing pricing policies to attract customers and develop business.
WHAT YOU DO:
Tasks and Duties

To maintain a very good relationship with the service providers.
To maintain always the most updated local port or airport charges, storage and demurrages.
To maintain always the most updated local transportation charges.
To build very good relationship with the local carriers and co-loaders.
To requests rates from local carriers, as well as from destination/origin offices and compare the same with Share point and contract agreements.
To check with customer service persons, sales persons or managers on the profit margin to be added.
To revert on requests with quotes within 24 hours, if any delay in receipt of rates, an interim email to the sent to the respective person.
Quotes to be prepared using the Quoting Database or Approved Quote Format as per company policy.
To keep good relationship with Sales, Customer Service and to collect feedback for each and every quote.
Updating the Quote Log with feedback for Market analysis.
If rejected, the correct reason must be updated
To gather as much information as possible (carriers name, transit time, services used) to be able to quote better and get a high closing ratio.
To run weekly report through the Quoting Database and analyze the information and keep department managers aware of the best carrier to use from the best port/airport.
To keep all quotes submitted confidential and never disclose the information to anyone outside the department.
To make sure job is executed as per company guidelines and policies.
To always update the team with the GRI, PSS and rate fluctuations and changes whenever they occur.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU BRING TO US:

Oral and written proficiency in the English language
Well versed with the trade market
Pricing experience in the required market.
Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
