We are working with a Medium sized agent who is looking for a Import Customer Service Clerk. Air & Ocean.
Our client will either look for 1-2 years experience within Imports or Trainee. If trainee training will be given.
Working for a global consolidator, specialising in Freight Forwarding predominantly from the USA by air and ocean.
The role will cover all aspects of Import customer services and customer retention related tasks, excluding customs declarations.
The applicant will be expected to:
Answer customer phone calls.
Dealing direct with customer requests for quotes and collections.
Requesting rates from our USA origin stations and global partners, quoting the customers and liaising with our sales team to ensure customer relationships are maintained.
Arranging collections making sure all required information is obtained, sent onto the origin station and agreed rates are provided.
Monitoring shipments to ensure speedy collection and forwarding on one of our daily consolidations is achieved, ensuring that the customer is fully updated throughout the process door to door.
customs clearance experience is required, and will not be necessary in this role.
Knowledge of Microsoft office
Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30
Salary up to GBP30K depending on experience.
